The ElevateTM Lap Sealant HS is designed to seal and mechanically protect the exposed edges of QuickSeam™ products where required as per Elevate guidelines. The Lap Sealant HS is also used as a general purpose sealant in other applications as specified in the Elevate guidelines.
Application
Lap Sealant HS can be applied in following Elevate system(s): RubberGard™ EPDM, GeoGard™ EPDM, PondGard™ EPDM.
Preparation
Surfaces on which the Lap Sealant HS is to be applied must be clean, dry, and free from loose and foreign materials, oil and grease. The membrane surfaces that are to be sealed must be cleaned with QuickPrime™ Plus. If possible wait minimum 4 hours between splicing and application of Lap Sealant HS, but apply Lap Sealant HS before the end of working day. Restore to room temperature prior to use, if exposed to lower temperatures (< 15°C) for a prolonged period.
Method of Application
The sealant is applied with a mastic gun at the specified location using the plastic nozzle applicator supplied by Elevate, being sure to keep the nozzle applicator centered over the lap step-off. Take care to leave a mound of Lap Sealant HS directly over the splice edge. Refer to the Elevate Specifications for specific installation instructions.

Coverage rate of 6 to 7 lm per cartridge.
